  금속은 현장 작업 중 가공의 과정에서 발견되는 좋은 장면들이 많다. 커팅, 용접, 샌딩 등의 작업에서 생기는 흔적은 패턴이 되기도 하고 마감으로서 특별한 모습이 되기도 한다. 다소 투박할 수 있지만 행위의 흔적이 그대로 남아 좋은 의미를 갖기도 한다. 미완성의 느낌을 줄 수도 있기에 많은 고객이 방문하는 상업공간에서는 적용하기 어렵지만 특정인만 상주하는 사무실에는 충분히 디자인으로 해석이 가능해 주 재료로 사용했다.  

 현장에서 흔하게 쓰이는 재료로 아연도금강판을 사용했다. 부식을 막기 위해 철에 아연 코팅이 되어서 생산되는 자재이다. 저렴한 가격으로 가장 흔하게 쓰인다. unseenbird의 사무실은 작업 과정의 아연도금강판으로 구성됐다. 테이블, 책장, 파티션, 싱크대에 용접, 샌딩, 절단 등 가공한 흔적들이 마감으로 되었다. 그리고 이 가공의 면들은 시간의 흐름에 따라 천천히 부식이 진행될 것이다. 어떤 모습이 만들어질지는 누구도 모른다. 아마도 시간과 공기, 습기의 협업으로 결정을 할 것이다.


 Metals contain many good scenes that are discovered during the processing stages of fieldwork. Traces left by processes such as cutting, welding, and sanding can become patterns, and they can also give a special appearance as a finish. It may seem somewhat rough, but the traces of the act remain intact, giving it a positive meaning. Because it can give a sense of incompleteness, it is difficult to apply in commercial spaces visited by many customers, but in offices where only a specific person is present, it can be fully interpreted as part of the design, so it was used as the main material.

 We used galvanized steel sheets as the main material, a commonly used material on site. It is a material produced by coating iron with zinc to prevent corrosion. It is used most commonly at an affordable price. The unseenbird office was made of galvanized steel sheets used in the construction process. The table, bookshelf, partition, and sink showed marks from processing such as welding, sanding, and cutting as finishing touches. And the fictional surfaces will gradually undergo corrosion over the course of time. No one knows what kind of appearance will be created. Perhaps time, air, and humidity will work together to make a decision.
